Imagining the Future of the LCM

July 19. We started the morning with the Eucharist which was prepared by the Region of North Spain. During the liturgy on a paper flower we wrote a scripture word that resonated in our lives, as it resonated in the life of Claret. Gathered together we saw the Word of God flowering in our lives creating a beautiful garden.

After breakfast, we began our work sessions. First the minutes from yesterday were read, which had not been approved due to some lacking information. This was followed with the financial statements of the present quarter. The report of the General Council was approved. Next, a proposal from Betica was presented, which asked that the General Assembly give an answer to the present reality of the zone in regards to the diverse situations of its communities and the sense of belonging of its member s in the LCM. The proposal was explained and presented in written form for further reflection, leaving the response to the same for a later date.

After a brief break, we went into the second stage of the Assembly: To imagine the future of the LCM.

During a very creative dynamic we situated ourselves in the year 2025. The Nobel Price has been given to the LCM. Why? What has happened and what has merited such honor? How is life in that Movement? The different groups presented and justified the news of the price, as well as their reflections and impressions in the sharing.
